Cost and Processing Fees
INDIANA BERKSHIRE PORK:
Cost is based on hanging (carcass) weight.
Whole Pork: $4.50 per pound hanging weight
Half Pork: $5.00 per pound hanging weight
A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of your reservation: $250 Whole, $150 Half. The deposit will be subtracted from your final total.
INDIANA CERTIFIED ANGUS BEEF:
Cost is based on hanging (carcass) weight.
Whole Beef: $5.00 per pound hanging weight
Half Beef: $5.55 per pound hanging weight
Quarter Beef: $6.10 per pound hanging weight
A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of your reservation: $600 Whole, $400 Half, $200 Quarter. The deposit will be subtracted from your final total.
Turchetti's Butcher Shop Processing
Your beef will be butchered by our team of trained whole animal butchers in the heart of Fountain Square. We have been butchering here for over 5 years. Our care from cutting to packaging guarantees quality and shelf life. Our beef hangs for a minimum of one week before cutting, helping tenderize the protein. Each piece is wrapped in wax lined freezer paper or vacuum sealed (for an additional fee).
ORDERING PROCESS
1. Fill out the form below (bottom of the page) and we will send you an invoice with the deposit amount that is due.
2. We will schedule your beef and/or pork for slaughter/processing and we will let you know our estimated pickup date within 5 days of recieving deposit. Orders are due weekly by Sunday. Orders typically are turned around in less than 14 days (pending any processing delays)
3. You will be expected to fill out your cutting and packaging instructions form within 48 hours of order. Failure to do so will result in the delay of cutting your protein!
4. Your beef will hang for approximately 5 - 10 days before it is processed which improves flavor and tenderness. Then it will be cut, packaged and (if time) frozen.
5. Final payment for your protein will be due at or before pickup from our butcher shop.
6. We will contact you once your freezer meat is ready for pickup. You will want to bring boxes or coolers to transport your protein home. Place it in your freezer as soon as possible.
